What do rappers Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and The Game have in common apart from community service? All of them are a big part of the marijuana industry and have launched weed strains. A new entrant in this business venture is another rapper, Tyga.

Tyga is a 28 year old American rapper who appears to be branching out as a businessman. From the looks of his Instagram, he is launching a weed strain named after his hit single, “Taste.”

The new strain could help immortalize Tyga’s “Taste” single, which currently sits at No.10 in the Billboard Hot 100. The track was certified platinum on June 24th.

The ‘Switch Lanes’ rapper has appeared in various photos uploaded on an Instagram profile (@tastekush) promoting his new strain.  The most recent posts on Taste Kush’s page reveal a close connection to Tyga’s personal brand—including videos soundtracked by “Taste.”

“Everyone stay tuned @tastekush is coming strong, exclusive taste kush strain only by us, and the first drop will be coming very soon, @adccdispensary 2222 east Olympic #420 #tyga #takeover #world #wide #exclusive” another Instagram post says.

One of these photographs was additionally posted  on Thursday (Aug. 2) on Tyga’s own Instagram account captioned, “Lil babies @tastekush coming soon.”

The photos and videos uploaded show him touching the cannabis plants in the operation’s hydroponic grow room. The ADCC in Los Angeles’ Arts District will stock the first batch of the strain.  Tyga dropped his latest album, Kyoto, in February and recently dropped a video for new single “Swish.” He also shows up on Iggy Azealia’s new album Survive the Summer, which came out on the 3rd of August.

Will the strain be as popular as Snoop Dogg’s “Snoop’s Dream” or Wiz’s “Khalifa Kush” we are yet to see. However, we are surely excited to try out this ‘Taste.’
