Netflix and chill or Amazon prime and sexy-time, TV shows in today’s world are trending at a great pace. Shows are being released as quickly as celebs on bail, but then again that’s a whole different rant. This article talks about some of the best TV shows for the modern day ‘dude’, so read on:

  • Mad Men

Set in the 1960’s, Mad Men is one of the finest shows to ever air. When it first premiered around 10 years ago, it literally changed the whole TV game. The show stars John Hamm as Donald Draper who is the director at Sterling Cooper. It tastes just right in your mouth like a perfectly measured malt. If you have not seen this show already, I highly recommend you to start right now.

  • Suits

This show is loaded with awesome ‘suits’, abuses, drama, love, business, and the sumptuous lives lived by its characters. The show is based on a law firm owned by the great Harvey Specter and his associate Mike Ross. Their bromance and witty personalities is something to look forward to. Take a trip with them as they go on a quest to conquer New York.

  • House of Cards

Highlighting the political environment of the United States, the story is about Frank Underwood and his constant greed to move up the ‘food chain’. The egoistic and selfish nature of Frank attracts the viewer. The grace with which, along with his wife, Frank journeys to become the most powerful man on earth is phenomenal.

  • Entourage

One of my favourite shows on this list, Entourage is a story about Vincent Chase, a Hollywood actor and his ‘entourage’. It is full of sex, drugs, and drama that comes with being a superstar. With ups and downs throughout life it shows a great bond between the entourage and is based on a very famous quote from the series- “life changes, friends don’t”. For the business part, it has the ever so energetic marketing genius, Ari Gold who really takes the show to a whole new level.

  • Billions

The show is about stock trading and loyalty. It depicts how a businessman wants to lead a luxurious life without compromising on other aspects. The head to head fight revolves around business tycoon Bobby Axelrod who is accused of insider trading by his partner and US attorney Chuck Roades.

  • Sherlock

Sherlock Holmes and his side-kick John Watson take on the crime world of London with amazing wit, astonishing acting, and a sharp genius mind. The suspenseful nature and attention to detail will leave the viewer amazed. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and his ‘brit’ accent, the show follows a unique and aesthetically historic vibe.

  • Ballers

Ballers is an American comedy-drama which stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a retired NFL player who decides to find anew career. He becomes a financial manager for athletes and helps his younger friends in the NFL. The series is a perfect blend of sports and money and the glamorous lives lived by these sportspersons.
