Tupac was and still remains an icon in the hip-hop world. His lyrical masterclass made him one of the most famous rappers of the century. However, Tupac’s beef with New York rapper Biggie Smalls is said to be the cause of his death in 1996. While he was returning with Suge Knight in his BMW after a boxing match, Tupac was shot 4 times by a person whose identity is still unknown. Biggie denied any involvement in this and the murder remains a mystery till date.

Christopher Wallace a.k.a Biggie Smalls was the East coast side of the famous West-East feud which is till date very much present. After Tupac was murdered in 1996, Biggie too feared for his life even though he was a prime suspect in the murder. After leaving the 1997 Soul Train Music Awards, Biggie was shot at by an unidentified man at a red light. Like Tupac, his killer’s identity remains a mystery till date.

Born in 1940, John Lennon was the frontman of the most celebrated and commercially successful band in history, The Beatles. On 8th December, 1980, Lennon was shot by an autographer hunter, Mark Chapman. Chapman who was a security guard from Hawaii, shot 5 times at Lennon’s back from a Charter Arms .38 Special revolver. Chapman then sat outside on the kerb, waiting patiently for the police to come and arrest him. Chapman pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 20 years to life.

Till date, Gianni Versace remains an icon in the fashion industry. Versace dressed the rich and the famous and the who’s who of A-list celebrities. On the morning of July 15th, 1997, Versace who was returning from his walk was shot and murdered by Andrew Cunanan. Cunanan fired twice from his .40 calibre pistol into Versace’s head outside the designers home. Andrew was a serial killer and Versace was his 5th and last victim. He committed suicide on July 25th. Versace’s funeral was held on 24th July and was attended by some of the biggest names in the world including Princess Diana and Sir Elton John.

Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model, and singer. She was considered one of the most popular sex symbols and was key to the generation’s attitude towards sexuality. On August 4th, 1962, Monroe was found dead on her bed by her housekeeper. There was an empty bottle of sleeping pills next to her. Even though her death was ruled as suicide, theorists till date believe that she was murdered. Apparently it was to keep her from talking about her affair with John F. Kennedy and his brother.

Nicole Brown Simpson was the wife of professional football player and Heisman Trophy winner O.J ‘The Juice’ Simpson. Nicole Brown Simpson was found murdered on June 13, 1994 outside her home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. She was stabbed multiple times. Beside her body was the body of Ron Goldman who was also stabbed. O.J became the prime suspect in what was known as the Trial of the Century. It became so huge that it was telecasted live. O.J was declared not guilty of the crimes. Following Simpson’s acquittal, no additional arrests or convictions related to the murders were made.
