Revolt Intellicorp an Indian startup, is all set to launch their all-electric motorbike today.
Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma is the founder of the company. This is the first electric motorcycle to go on sale in India and has passed the Indian homologation tests. The company has an R&D centre and a production plant in Manesar.
The design sketches reveal the upcoming bike will have a naked design. Revolt’s bike is the first bike in India with an ‘AI-interface’ which will help in optimizing the battery performance based on one’s riding style.
Revolt motorbike Highlights
Revolt e-bike gets alloy wheels with MRF tyres on both ends. Furthermore, it gets a complex swingarm, bolt on sub-frame, USD forks, monoshock suspension and front disc brake. Top speed is 85 km/h with an expected range of 156 km. Revolt has an easy battery swap system.
The e-bike from Revolt boasts of a compact design with all LED lighting all around. Revolt’s bike has an upright handlebar, angular tank design, extended shrouds, a single piece seat. And the electric motor has a positioning in the centre, hence, offering a lower centre of gravity. One of the many highlights of the bike is its ability to make exhaust sound, of any bike you want. Hence, the electric bike will have speakers which will emit exhaust notes of any bike on the market.
Revolt electric motorcycle comes with an LTE connection and will run a 4G SIM to enable these functions. The motor and battery packs are being imported while the Battery Management System (BMS) and Electronic Control Unit (ECU) have been designed and developed in-house. Furthermore, several tests are done to gauge its performance and it has even excelled in the Gradient Ability Tests carried out at an incline of 10.2 degrees. The battery goes under a series of tests, in varying weather conditions to assess battery life, performance, shockproofing, nail penetration and waterproofing.
Revolt plans to launch the motorcycle in Delhi first, followed by other major cities and to set up dedicated charging stations as well. Therefore, is one of the first of three products to launch in India by Revolt.
Talking about competition, it will take on the electric two-wheelers such as the ‘Ather 450’ and upcoming ‘Tork T6X’
