Following Northwestern’s footsteps both UC Berkeley and Cambridge University are offering meme based courses with subjects like History of memes, How Memes affect Western Culture and even Meme Choreography.
Student-driven and college meme groups have grown a lot since the late 2016 and teenagers and adults all across the world are now looking at memes on the internet instead of socialising. Sorry I’m wrong here, it is the new form of socialising.
Would you undertake a Meme degree? Or more importantly, would your parents let you? It’s not like you would have difficulty in finding a job after studying the most important course of your life. Spending your life working in the admin department of 9gag is not such a bad thing.
