Actor and activist Jameela Jamil has always been in headlines due to her great work. Both in industry and in the society.
After appearing on NBC’s “The Good Place,” Jameela has grabbed massive attention for her work towards body positivity. She has always been questioned by media due to her statements. She has always been witnessed making statements against Kardashians. According to her, Kardashians are promoting and selling something which is making the youth feel conscious about their body. She says that the Kardashian sisters promote fake body and makes the youth question themselves.
According to her, Kardashians are a bad influence on the young girls and promotes everyone to be skinny. Jameela’s Instagram handle can be seen applauding chubby girls, girls who are overweight, fluffy, curvy, etc. She also uploaded an appreciation post about how Florence Nightingale, Rosa Parks and Malala Yousufzai have never been discussed by them because of their body, because “it doesn’t matter.”
Kardashians have kept quiet since long time. But, last week on New York Times’ reality show’s latest season, Matriarch, Kris Jenner breaks her silence and replied to Jameela’s comments calling it as “that negative energy space.”
Jameela has been putting up her non air brushed pictures on social media. She has been promoting the original body and one’s own acceptance towards it.
Jamil has been vocal about her issues with similar weight-loss products in the past. She previously called out Cardi B for promoting detox tea, and also addressed Kim Kardashian West’s ad for appetite-suppressing lollipops.
One side where the youth is going mad over the perfect body, other side curvy girls are going depressed due to their body. The question still remains the same, “Does the world need more of Kardashians or Jameela?
