The newest business to jump onto the LGBT bandwagon is BURBERRY.
And to celebrate its latest collection Burberry launched a new photo and video campaign featuring a cast of loved-up LGBT+ youth.
In the video, a series of young couples lock lips, dance and discuss what it means to be in love, all while wrapped in Burberry’s new rainbow check.
Titled “Wrapped in Love”, the project has been created in collaboration with Alasdair McLellan.
He’s the same photographer that co-curated Burberry’s “Here We Are” exhibition last year – and them. This is a next-gen community platform that covers a range of topics through the lens of today’s LGBT+ community.
Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey recently revealed his retirement plans from the British fashion label after 17 years. He proudly reported that his final collection for the brand, however would be a celebration of LGBT+ communities.
Speaking affectionately about their partners, the cast fire off words to describe their other halves including cute, sweet, crazy, empowered and illuminated.
Later, they go on to open up about what it is they look for in a companion,
“To have someone to speak to”, one person declares.
The February 2018 show, which will unveil Christopher Bailey’s last collection for Burberry, will take place in London at 5pm on Saturday 17 February and will be streamed live on Burberry.com.
