It is hard to meet anyone who can claim that they have never suffered from puffy eyes. Even those who have amazing skin and detailed skincare routines can fall prey to puffiness.
In fact, people using the best under-eye creams and serums can also get eye-bags. Which is why figuring out the root of the problem and a holistic treatment is the best way to get rid of them. Weekly eye masks can help target different under-eye needs, from locking in moisture to de-puffing.
Today, we are presenting you with two kinds of eye masks which can help you in getting rid of puffy eyes and dark circles.
Rose & Cucumber Mask
Cucumber is rich in phytochemicals and ascorbic acid which helps in tightening of skin. But we are doing things differently today. Instead of just placing cucumber slices over your eye lids, this mask will reach the outer and inner corners of eyes.
- Half cucumber
- 1 ounce rose water
- Cotton rounds
Cut you cotton rounds into two half moon shapes. In a blender, blend cucumber with rose water until it liquefies. Soak the cotton rounds in the mixture and squeeze out the excess. To apply, place the half moon eye pad underneath the eye, making sure to apply close to the bottom lash line. Leave on for 10-15 minutes.
Eye mask to fight wrinkles
Egg whites have been known to reduce the appearance of fine lines, while antioxidant rich Vitamin E fights free radicals.
- 2 egg whites separated from the yolk
- 1 capsule or 5 drops of Vitamin E
Stir the egg yolk until they are frothy and the mix in the Vitamin E. Apply the mixture with your fingertips or a makeup brush to the under-eye area. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it.
