100 million subs make T-series the boss; Pewdiepie goes for a toss!

T-Series, India’s very own has become the first Youtube channel in the world with over 100 million subs, beating Swedish Youtuber to the landmark. A remarkable feat achieved.

T-Series eventually beat PewDiePie by claiming 100 million subs to become the most popular channel on Youtube. They now have approximately four million more subscribers (1000066561) than the Swedish Tuber (96182951).

According to The Forbes magazine report, ‘Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg’ who runs the PewDiePie channel was the highest paid YouTuber in 2016!

T-Series overtook PewDiePie in terms of popularity in February this year, which saw PewDiePie starting a campaign called ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’. It wanted to become a favourite among viewers yet again. However, this campaign did not work its charm and couldn’t take over the T-Series magical subscription list.

PewDiePie launched his YouTube channel in 2010, while T-Series started its journey in 2006.

T-Series is in the music industry for over 30 years and its presence prevails in most of the country with music in major languages.

Whereas PewDiePie’s channel description simply goes as, ‘I make videos’. Too straightforward.

It serves just one genre and that is videos related to games and gameplay videos.

After his defeat, he acknowledged the defeat with a music video titled- ‘Congratulations’.

    Sportsman spirit is definitely admirable.

T-Series was started by Gulshan Kumar in 1983. His son Bhushan Kumar took control of the business after the demise of Gulshan Kumar in 1997.

So, will T-Series retain the spot or do you think PewDiePie has something up his sleeve to astonish everyone?
